GTS structures are built with the precision and solid-engineering principals. They are designed to handle high winds and heavy snow-loads. The hubs are all designed with a hole for a lifting eye and loads can be suspended from each hub.

- Frames
We build our geodesic structures with 6061-T6 aluminum, stainless steel, or fiberglass frames (depending on the application), Riser walls are available if required. These materials are corrosion resistant. Our materials will not rot or warp and work well in high moisture environments.
Size: Available from 16 feet in diameter and up.
- Covers come in several forms:
- Twin or Triple wall Polycarbonate sheet to be used for permanent installations. The sheets are connected to the frame with special hardware that is designed to make installation simple and easy.
- Clear reinforced vinyl fabrics which are used for temporary or permanent installations.
- Hard insulated panels can be installed in the frame.
- Translucent or opaque structural fabrics are mildew resistant.
The advantage of fabric is it allows the installation to be very portable and be erected very quickly and is easy to clean. Steel fasteners are used throughout the structure for corrosion resistance.
Fabric life depends on the climatic conditions that they are placed in. A second interior liner can be provided for additional insulation in cold climates.
Doors: Doors are aluminum frames and covered with polycarbonate sheet. Stainless Hinges are stainless steel.
Vents: Vents can be provided around the base of the riser and a "pop-up" vent is provided at the top of the dome. The vents can be manual or automatic depending on the customer requirements.
- Specifications
Aluminum: GTS uses only 6061-T6 aluminum for our frames. It has high tensile and yield strength and has good corrosion resistance. Aluminum frames can be anodized for better corrosion protection in harsh environments.
Computer controlled machinery is use in manufacturing to hold the close tolerances that are required in a quality product.
GTS sizes the strut materials and hubs to the wind and snow load requirements. Strut materials can range from 1.25" square tube with .12 wall thickness to 4" square tube with .25 wall thickness.
GTS frames are engineered to local code requirements by a licensed structural engineer. Engineering Analysis is performed using Cadre Analytic by the author of the software.
GTS will supply a Finite Element Analysis Report with each structure above 26 feet in diameter. The report is stamped and signed off by a professional engineer.
Our inspection standards are Mil-I-45208.
- Hard Covers

GTS can cover aluminum frames with panels. The panels are constructed with 5/8 plywood and studded on 16""centers like conventional construction. The panels are insulated to the required R-value for the area the structure is installed in. The materials and construction are all high quality. The studs are screwed to the plywood and glued also. We do not use nails that can pull out. The inside of the panel (the finished side) can be covered with sheet rock and or wood paneling. When the panel is installed, it is a finished installation. The panels can be painted before installation so that there is no further work to do once the panel is installed into the frame. Windows are installed the same as conventional construction. The hardware to install the panels is included with the panels. The outside of the panel is covered with a tough durable roofing fabric and the panels are sealed with a sealing strip after installation.
You can opt to build your own panels and we can provide drawings for you to do this if you want to build your own.
- Soft Covers

GTS uses only high quality polyester weave PVC coated fabrics. These fabrics have been used in Saudi Arabia for over 15 years and when tested by the manufacture, still retained 90% of its original tensile strength. The covers are produced in our Florence, Oregon. Facility under tight quality control standards. The fabric is welded together into a one- piece cover that is water- tight. Windows, doors and vents can be provided for climatic conditions and customer requirements.
